Attorney-Led Mediation
Smith Mediation Center is led by Barbara Smith, J.D., a court-approved mediator and attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. Her background as a Magistrate and Administrative Law Judge brings informed judgment, structure and practical insight to every mediation.
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which a neutral third party, the mediator, helps disputing parties communicate, identify their interests and reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Unlike litigation, mediation is private, flexible and focused on practical outcomes rather than legal verdicts. The mediator does not decide the outcome; the parties do.
