Divorce Mediation sessions are available for the parties to build a comprehensive separation and/or divorce agreement. The most significant advantages of mediation include the ability of the parties to maintain control of the situation, the ability to be creative with solutions within the law and the ability to keep specific issues private. Importantly, mediation is less expensive than legal representation.
Further, the mediator does not make any binding decisions. The mediator's ultimate goal is to help you resolve the issues in your divorce, thereby bringing your matter to a close. Prior to signing any document, we suggest each party have an independent lawyer who represents only them review the agreement.
Caring for aging parents, an elderly spouse, an elderly domestic partner or even an elderly friend presents difficult challenges. Often, the responsibilities of elder care are numerous - and can be overwhelming. You may find that you are the only one willing to step in to manage the situation, or you may be coordinating or responsible for the divergent wishes of family members.
Mediation can help determine a course of action, leading to an acceptable family agreement.
Family relationships can present difficult situations as relatives have many stressful issues that arise over time and often have differing views on how these matters should be addressed. At times, these differences can lead to controversies which are more than mere disagreements; they can have legal ramifications.
